History
Explore off the beaten track a little and you will find the beautiful village of Old Alykanas. Nestled in the centre of the village is the Lemon Tree or Psaropoula as it is locally known on the island.
The Psaropoula first opened its doors and welcomed visitors and friends in 1975. Where Papous and Yia Yia created something beautiful.
Established by the Tourikis family, the restaurant has consistently offered incredible hospitality and friendly service for the past 46 years.
It started as a small grill house (with the ever-welcome shot of ouzo!) which was frequented by both locals and visitors alike.
As the lemon trees grew, the garden area has grown too, providing a perfect shaded spot to enjoy a cold drink, a meze, a refreshing glass of ouzo or whatever takes your fancy from our extensive menu.
Over time, the restaurant has evolved but you will still find the many family members happily working there today! They bring with them the authentic family recipes passed down through generations…
Surrounded by authentic vintage décor, leading into the beautiful garden with an inside and outside seating area, within an abundance of lemon and orange trees and a stunning display of colourful flowers. Wheelchair accessible, baby changing unit, car parking, Wifi, bookings all at our restaurant.

Our children's area is situated in a safe and secure part of the restaurant, so parents can relax knowing their children are nearby. We have also installed a bouncy castle to add to the fun and excitement for the kids.
However, we do want to remind parents that the children's area is unsupervised and they are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children. While we have taken every precaution to ensure the area is safe, accidents can happen, and we ask that parents supervise their children at all times.

Walking or Driving
You can take a stroll to visit us! Approximately 15 minutes by foot from the centre of Alykanas – along well-lit and level roads to Old Alykanas Village. There is parking available opposite if you wish to drive too. Remember to check out our beautiful church, village square and local junior school next to The Lemon Tree.
